    Wally du Temple  has been a teacher for more than twenty years as an educator and a golfer. His career as a secondary school teacher and then as a principal led him to study adult education at St Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. On retirement from teaching Wally decided to teach golf. One of the owners of Ardmore Golf Course - owned by the du Temple family since 1946, he won his first golfing championship at 14 years of age. Five local and one regional championship followed. Wally became a teaching pro in 2002, and retired from teaching in 2009. He now has regained his amateur status.
